Joseph Haydn (1732-1809)

Surprisingly enough, Joseph Haydn composed only very little original music for wind band. There are a few military partitas (“Feldparthien”) from an early stage in his career and a few marches, written when in London in the 90s of the 18th Century.
Nevertheless, his music was very much used for Harmonie arrangements. Apart from his oratorios The Creation and The Seasons, that were transcribed by Georg Druschetzky many windversions of (movements from) his symphonies circulated. The following two were published in 1816 and 1810.
